MCAT Exam Preparation
The MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) is the critical first step in your medical career. This exam is required for admission to nearly all medical schools in the United States and Canada. The MCAT is a rigorous, seven-hour examination that tests your scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.

Exam Sections
The MCAT consists of four scored sections, each testing a different domain of knowledge and reasoning:
Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems
Tests knowledge of biology, biochemistry, and organic chemistry as applied to living organisms and biological processes.
Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems
Assesses understanding of general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics in the context of biological systems.
Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior
Evaluates knowledge of psychology, sociology, and biology as they relate to human behavior and health outcomes.
Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS)
Tests the ability to comprehend, analyze, and evaluate complex passages from the humanities and social sciences. No prior subject knowledge is required.
Pre-Med Course Requirements
Medical schools expect applicants to have completed the following prerequisite courses before taking the MCAT:
- General Chemistry with lab (2 semesters)
- Organic Chemistry with lab (2 semesters)
- General Physics with lab (2 semesters)
- General Biology with lab (2 semesters)
- English (2 semesters)
- Calculus (1 semester)
