NCLEX-RN Exam Preparation

NCLEX-RN Exam Preparation

The NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) is the licensure exam that every nursing graduate must pass to practice as a registered nurse in the United States. It assesses knowledge of medical assessment, planning, analysis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

At Lingva Pro learning center, we help nursing graduates — including international medical professionals — prepare for the NCLEX-RN through comprehensive content review, language support, and strategic exam practice.

Exam Format and Difficulty Levels

The NCLEX-RN uses computerized adaptive testing (CAT), meaning the difficulty adjusts based on your answers. The exam includes three levels of questions:

Level 1 questions are the easiest and comprise approximately 5–10% of the exam. Level 2 and Level 3 questions — which require analysis, synthesis, and evaluation — make up roughly 90–95% of the test.

Depending on how you answer, you may receive anywhere from 75 to 265 questions. The maximum time to complete the exam is 6 hours.

Core Exam Topics

  • Physiological Integrity — the largest tested area, covering pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and reduction of risk potential
  • Health Promotion and Maintenance — wellness, disease prevention, and developmental stages
  • Safe and Effective Care Environment — management of care, safety, infection control, and legal/ethical considerations
  • Psychosocial Integrity — mental health, coping mechanisms, and therapeutic communication

What It Takes to Prepare

Successful NCLEX-RN preparation requires strong academic English, prior medical knowledge and clinical reasoning skills, and the willingness to work through approximately 8,000 practice questions to build the stamina and pattern recognition needed for the exam.

Our NCLEX-RN Preparation Program

Our teachers familiarize you with the format, rules, and procedures of the NCLEX-RN. They help you improve your overall English language level, expand your ability to understand and recognize core medical vocabulary on the test, and prepare you on content across all tested areas.

We also share additional strategies and tips that are specifically useful during the exam itself — from time management to the adaptive testing logic. Individual classes are available in-person and online.
